Process

We collaborated to develop this app. The product owner defined the project’s scope and goal, which was refined by the developer and designer who developed wireframes and screen mockups. The product owner and Scrum master then continued to think about the focus and goals of the app as the developer and designer began working on the MVP. We then refined the app after receiving user feedback.

This was our first time using Agile practices and Scrum, so it was very different from what we were used to in previous CS courses. In addition, both developers were not particularly comfortable with R, so quite a bit of learning was involved as we went through the project. Our final app is very interactive, with the map allowing users to see firsthand how serious of an issue malaria is, and the quiz is also an achievement.
