Overview

B4UAgree is a browser extension plug-in designed to enhance user awareness and understanding of privacy policies encountered during online browsing. Empowering users to make informed decisions about their online privacy, B4UAgree provides real-time analysis and easy-to-understand summaries of privacy policies.

Motivation

In today’s digital world, personal data privacy is a significant concern. Many users unknowingly agree to lengthy and complex privacy policies without understanding the implications. B4UAgree aims to address this issue by providing users with simplified summaries of privacy policies, catering to a wide range of internet users concerned about their online privacy.

Product

B4UAgree is a Chrome browser extension that reads, analyzes, and summarizes privacy policies encountered during online browsing. With an intuitive interface, users can quickly understand the privacy practices of websites they visit, empowering them to make informed decisions about sharing their personal data online. The extension is accessible to all Chrome users and can be easily installed from the Chrome Web Store.

Process

Our team followed an agile development process, regularly conducting sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to ensure efficient progress. One challenge we encountered was setting up the web server and API to facilitate communication between the browser extension and the backend for real-time analysis of privacy policies.
