- We do not have the words to thank our mentors well enough for their support over the years!
- Are you interested in serving as an alumni mentor for the CSC324/326 courses?
We would love to hear from you! Kindly reach out to any of the instructors. What does being a mentor for CSC324/326 look like?
- You will get acquainted with resources containing leadership and confidentiality descriptions provided by Alumni & Donor Relations.
- Usually, alumni mentors help students craft a project in the second half of the semester.
- In the first half of the semester, we update mentors with the available projects and ask who would be willing to help.
- Once we match students and mentors, students should reach out to their mentors at least three times during the semester to ask for guidance/feedback on their product.
- Mentors take a different approach: some are more hands-on, whereas others prefer a more holistic approach (such as asking students questions to help them figure out solutions to their issues/problems by themselves) – both approaches are totally fine.
- At the end of the semester, we send mentors a survey to evaluate the students’ professionalism with their mentors.
